ABV 11%

This wine is light to medium straw in colour with a hint of green. Complex aromas of fresh fruit and creamy yeast are perfectly balanced on the nose. On the fine palate green apple chardonnay flavours and strawberry Pinot Noir characters are complemented lively acidity.

VITICULTURE

Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were sourced from selected regions of South Eastern Australia.

WINEMAKING

The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were vinified separately to enhance the varietal fruit flavours. Our winemakers carefully assessed the individual parcels before blending to enhance complexity.

4 BOTTLES OF VILLA MARIA PRIVATE BIN SAUVIGNON BLANC

Designed to be fruit driven and easy drinking, this is a bench mark Marlborough Sauvignon. It has an intense aroma of fresh lime and passion fruit. The palate is fresh and crisp with tropical fruit characters. 

A blend of fruit grown in the Wairau and Awatere Valleys, spanning a range of different meso-climates were incorporated. Careful attention was paid to vine health to give the vines the best chance to optimise the season and develop strong, clean flavours.

The fruit was crushed, pressed and settled for 24 hours before being racked clean off press solids for fermentation. Both neutral and aromatic yeast strains were used.

Fermentation was conducted cool at 12-14° C to ensure maximum retention of delicate flavours and aromatics. Soon after fermentation was completed the wine was bottled to capture its vibrancy and freshness.

This vibrant Sauvignon Blanc is bursting with a fruit-salad-bowl of flavours including ripe gooseberry, passionfruit, fresh citrus lime and exotic herbaceous aromas. The wine has an exciting palate with a refreshing crisp, clean and racy acidity. This exuberant and delightful wine.

 

Ideal with salmon, tomato, green bean and potato salad.

 

4 BOTTLES OF BERINGER STONE CELLARS ZINFANDEL CHARDONNAY ROSE

THE VINEYARDS

Beringer’s vineyard team selects grapes for the Stone Cellars Zinfandel Chardonnay Rose from vineyards throughout California’s North Coast, where cool Pacific breezes temper warm summer days to produce fully ripened berries with natural balancing acidity. The fruit sourcing is 75% Northern Interior and 25% North Coast.

WINEMAKING

Beringer’s winemakers highlight Zinfandel’s characteristically bright, fruity characteristics to create a light, refreshing blush wine. Immediately following gentle de-stemming and crushing, the must (pulp, juice and skins) is quickly chilled to preserve its fresh strawberry, raspberry and orange peel aromas and flavours. Just as a slight rose hue develops, the juice is pressed off the skins and fermented at carefully controlled, cool temperatures. 100% stainless tank fermented and arrested fermentation to preserve the fresh fruit flavours. 80% Zinfandel Rose, 20% Chardonnay.
