VITICULTURE
Grapes were sourced from various vineyards across the Marlborough region. Individual vineyard sites varied considerably in soil, climate and aspect, with each .
VINIFICATION
Parcels were machine harvested, cold soaked and fermented separately in open top fermenters. A variety of selected and natural yeast strains were used to carry out fermentation, enhancing individual characteristics in each parcel, culminating in a complex final blend. Malolactic fermentation was completed in seasoned French oak along with stainless steel tanks. The parcels were then matured for a further 5 months before final blending.
WINEMAKERS NOTES
Vibrant deep cherry red in colour, the nose exhibits perfumed raspberry and violet aromas, complementing sweet cherry and strawberry fruit. The palate is soft, with rich sweet fruit, balanced nicely with integrated lingering oak, resulting in a palate of length and complexity.
